There's a whole thing on here somewhere about when you should stretch. I think I posted it but I don't remember where. Anyway, you are not supposed to stretch until you are warmed up. Stretching cold muscles is a major source of injury. So you should stretch at about ten minutes into the exercise, or as part of the cooldown at the end.
