"While Alli is predominately a weight loss treatment, it really has the potential to lift the depressive cycle which many millions of people are currently suffering. There are direct links between weight loss and an increase in self esteem, leading to many sufferers empowering their own lives and going on to successful careers, improved family lives and a general all round feel good factor."

One of the major problems is the inverse. As people remain overweight, they feel low self-esteem and get sad. That sadness causes them to eat. They eat not because they are hungry, but because they want to get emotional pleasure. Comfort food tends to be unhealthy. Thus, being overweight causes the people to take actions that keep them overweight. What do you think?
