Soda

Do you drink much soda? I have heard that soda doesn't even hydrate you. In fact, it does the opposite. I guess because of the sodium, but I do not know. Anyway, I still find myself craving soda, especially when I am thirsty.

I don't know how good it is at hydration, but I know that it really hits the spot when it is hot outside.

I don't drink it at all. It has no nutritional value, and if it is diet I find that artificial sweetners stoke my appetite. Plus it costs a lot more than water!

ok I confess soda is my weakness.... I switched to diet soda 4 years ago so that helps alot but it still not good for you. 1 calorie a can and full of sodium. I counter it with a glass of water per can but its still not good for you.

Try sparkling mineral water like S.Pellegrino or Perrier or your grocery store should have "sparkling water" (not club soda) in the water section. If it doesn't taste enough like "pop" to you, add a splash of cranberry juice or something. I love the stuff and don't drink pop anymore.

I dont drink it very much...only when Im at work and its one glass but I found that when I drink even 1 I want MORE water cause Im more thirsty...Lately Im drinking around 80 oz of water a day....(which made me gain water weight which Im very unhappy about)....Diet drinks are horrible for you cause of something that they put in it is also in rat poison....I heard that and it scarded me off it for life!!!

Good grief, diet soda has nothing in it related to rat poison. I agree that it is not the best thing to drink. Pelligrino is great as previously mentioned., but rat poison, OK there might be some ingrediant that is comparable, i.e. salt, but this is silly.
