Does exercise make you hungrier?

Whenever I have exercised (mainly in the past) I ate a lot more. I would be ravenous! I keep reading that exercise suppresses your appetite, but isn't the way it works for me.

It burns calories, so that may make you hungrier. It also may be psychological. You may feel that you deserve a reward after exercising, and you may see food as that reward.

May be. I never thought of that. I exercised so I deserve a reward that will more than replace any calories I burned? Depressing thought.

I exercised in the mornings, usually, and maybe I've got a sugar deficit when I start.
