Exercising while watching TV?

Does anyone exercise while watching TV? Do you think it is a good idea?

I think it is a good idea, but I never actually end up doing it.

I know people who read while on the treadmill. I could never do that. And I'm afraid TV would be too distracting.

I don't have a treadmill. If I did, I could watch TV while using. I don't think I could read, because it wouldn't be steady.

Yeah, you'd be moving, and you'd have to keep your eyes focused. It would be like reading in a car on a really bumpy road. I think it helps that you can have a TV fairly far away, so you don't need such a tight focus.
