Are all of you at least 18 years old? alli should not be taken by anyone under 18. I fear that there is a great potential for abuse here.

I'm afraid alli will be really popular with anorexics. Since they are usually in the process of starving themselves to death, alli might speed it along. Of course, there is no fat in their diet, so maybe it would have no effect.

I am over 18. Can minors buy it? Do people need to show ID?

I can't imagine they will enforce it by not allowing minors to buy it. It isn't a law, like the ones with cigarettes. There are lots of cold medications and allergy medications that are only for those over 12, but they don't enforce who buys them. There is really only so much you can do.

Hopefully, parents would pay attention to what their children are doing and would know if they were taking drugs or not (including drugs like Alli). Unfortunately, many parents do not know what their kids are up to. Also, some parents might even know and not care.

This would be awfully easy to hide. And if you had trouble with side effects, you could say you were sick and stay home from school. An added benefit!

I think that like most things, there will be people who abuse it. After all, there are people who abuse laxatives.
