Transform your life through Colour Therapy

Colour Therapy has been used by many ancient cultures including the Native American Indians, Aztecs, Egyptians, and Greeks and was also believed to have been used during pre-Atlantean times. Early civilizations used colour for ceremony, healing, religious purposes and rites of passage. The Ancient Egyptians and Greeks were known to have used temples filled with light and colour for healing purposes.

Colour therapy works on the principle that we all are in need of light and colour to keep well balanced and in good health. Natural daylight contains all the colours of the spectrum that our energy centres need in order to stay well physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is essential that we spend a minimum of half an hour a day in natural daylight whatever the weather, as we absorb light and the coloured rays through our eyes and skin.

A fully qualified Colour Therapist will use a variety of ‘tools’ such as coloured silks, lights, oils, coloured solarised water, coloured crystals, breathing techniques, visualisation and art therapy with the aim of bringing each client back into a state of balance and harmony. Colour Therapy works very deeply on all levels physical, emotional, mental and spiritual and can be combined with conventional medicine and all other complementary therapies.

Colour Therapy is self-empowering as there are a multitude of techniques that can be taught by the therapist to the client, enabling them to take responsibility for their own health. A colour therapist may even cover correct colour choices for clothes and interiors as the colours that we wear and surround ourselves with have a huge effect on our overall well-being.
