Mine is slower going...I am down 23 lbs since January. I am happy with the loss, but wish it was more. I have joined a ladies only gym called Curves, and hope to lose another 20 lbs by the end of the year. How do you stay motivated to exercise and eat right?

You people are doing really well have stuck to low fat diet i have stopped the snacking started the gym.i have had no side effects and have not lost any weight in 3 weeks any advice

For me portion control is the key. Its quite possible for me to overeat even healthy food and gain weight. I still count calories whilst taking the Xenical and have 1400-1500 a day with less that 45g of fat.

Hey girls, Hows the weight loss going? Still losing with xenical? I expected to see much more posting going on, apparently xenical isnt too popular huh? I dont know how people afford to buy alli, that sure adds up to alot of money if you need to take it for an extended amount of time but if you dont have prescription coverage i guess so can the xenical. Anyone know of a forum where there is more posting about xenical? I want to start taking it but wish i could read more first.

I'm making good progress, although its getting harder over time. Currently weightloss is 97lb in 16 months. 74lbs whilst on Xenical. I do frequent a much more active weightloss BB (3 fatchicks dot com) but although there's a long thread on Xenical, posting again is not currently very active.


Anything you particularly want to know?

Hi Kitty, Thanks for the reply. I used to go to the fatchicks forum until they decided i was spamming for tryin to help others, i didnt even mention a web address in my posts but they started telling me i was the owner of a web site and when i said i wasnt they called me a liar and told me i was banned. Who needs em! They are so worried about someone else making money that they are obviously paranoid. So i went looking for other forums and found this one. I am going to try my best not to help anyone too much after that, although i like to help people, i guess i will have to do it privately from now on, i never had that happen before but for some reason i thought it was ok since i wasnt using any web addresses, but it still hurt alot to be treated that way, especially since i was enjoying the forums and the support so much. Oh well, so much for that!

Anyway my Dr wont give me the xenical, i asked him today for it and he said he would rather not give me it. He would not say why but that he would rather me just eat right and do it the healthy way. Well i have ALOT to lose, but i guess he isnt worried about it. I feel so doomed most of the time, i dont know what to do. Dieting works for awhile n then it stops, And at my weight i feel i cant afford to stop. I need to get this weight off. I am doing all i can already, thought something like xenical would be great. Some Dr's are just so strict and dont like to give prescriptions so much, which is good, but not if the person really needs help.

I would use alli if i could afford to, but i cant. xenical would be covered under my prescription plan.

Anyone know any secrets in getting a prescription for this? If i cried i wonder if that would help! LOL

Good jobs to all, im a new user and I wish to lose 20 or more lbs. Im 29 and weight 183, im been on alli for 3 days and it was hard on the weekend , but its all about mind and thought.

brattyass, why not buy it online? i'm sure it would work out cheaper......... or go to another gp.

hi, if you are close to Mexico, you can buy orlistat over the counter ( like most other prescription drugs. its a generic form of xenical, but it works. My parents go down to Arizona every winter, and last year, I had them bring me back a bunch. it was ALOT cheaper too! I think it was about $100 for a 3 month supply. when I get it here, it costs me $160 a month!
Nevertheless, cost is sometimes an issue for me, and I haven't taken it for about 6 months...but I am ready to start losing again, and am ready to commit to it financially.
