Question Does there have to be side effects?

Hi, I'm new to Xenical so I hope I am understandibly confused!

Do you have to have side effects? Surely if a low fat diet is followed, the side effects will not happen?

If I try and stick to 30g fat per day will I have oily poos/cramps, etc.?

I do know someone who eats as normal (curries/chips/fatty foods) pops a pill and hey presto justifies what's been eaten! Has a weight loss and is happy.

So......do I have to experience side effects to know if they are working or go by weight loss which I would hopefully have following a low fat diet anyway

Help!!!!!!

Hi snippet im new to xenical aswell, I have taking it for 9 days now, I also have not had any major side effects just a little bit of oil in the toilet i have been keeping to the daily guidelines of what I should eat and I dont feel any lighter yet I have read about people shedding lots of pounds and running for the loo and i was wondering myself am i doing this right? I have been told by my family that this is no miracle pill and that I should exercise lots to see the benefits boo hoo!!

So I would also like some feedback from the experts !!!!

Take care snippet and let me know if you have any success xxxx

Hey Fruit Filling

I too need to exercise more even though I stand all day at a dog grooming table! We bought the Wii Fit and I'm having great fun with it so lets hope it helps me on my way to a slimmer me!! My cousin is getting married next September and I'm Matron of Honour so I have a real incentive to lose my chubbiness!

Do you fancy being a e-mail weigh loss buddy? We could encourange eachother! I am 37, married with one daughter of 11 yrs. I have at least 5 stone to lose but set targets of 1 stone at a time!

Take care and may all your poopies be brown!

Hi, I started xenical recently and spoke to the MAP program as wasn't getting side effects and was worried the medication weren't working. They said that if you eat a low fat diet then side effects are not an issue and the medications side effects are a warning of you shouldn't have eaten that!

I totally agree. What we should be aiming for is no side-effects or at least very minimal ones. You will only get diahorrea and oil if you're eating too much fat.
