I am on Alli. Lost 20 lbs. in one year. It says if I am 147 lbs. or lower won't help, I'm at 152 today. I can eat pints of Haagen Daz with handfuls of peanuts and no side effects with the Alli now! Has my body gotten used to it? What's going on??

Well, I've been on Alli for about a year. Went up to 120 mg orlistat dose. I'm gaining weight back. The pharmacist said that your body does get used to the drug - so side effects will diminish, and I'm assuming efficacy as well. I'm thinking it does help you lose weight, but now I'm gaining weight back. So I'm not sure it's the answer for maintenance - what is!! I needed the "edge" or boost to lose at least some weight - I'm 55 and have an office job. I was a very fat baby. So there you go - I need to quit my job and spend my day at the health club and in the kitchen making salads!!
