Obviously, pregnant women and nursing mothers and women trying to get pregnant. It can interact with some medications and make them inactive. I heard people who are on some heart medications can't take it because the xenical combines with the medicines and removes them from the body, just like fats.

I don't know if they turn people down, but diabetics have to be really careful. I wonder what the reason is? Maybe if you take a certain amount before a meal, expecting a meal to have x calories, and some of those get blocked, you could take too much. It would be tricky with insulin, I think.

I don't think you can take it if you've had kidney stones. One of my cousins asked her doctor about it, because she has a tiny, pinpoint-sized stone. The doctor said no. Maybe he was being overly cautious, and another doctor would have said that the stone is too small to worry about.

Oh, I didn't think of any of those situations. That makes sense that the doctor would turn people down if it conflicts with preexisting conditions or other medication.
Do you think they deny anyone just because they think exercise is better or whatnot? |
